Dragonflies symbolized tireless movement and loyalty\u2014qualities every samurai aimed to live by. This sword reflects that same spirit with a fast, lightweight design made for real use.<\/p>\n<p>The blade is hand-forged and folded using a mix of T10 tool steel and 1055 carbon steel. This combo gives it both strength and flexibility. Folding the steel creates a bold grain pattern (hada) across the blade, and the clay tempering adds a real O-Choji hamon that hardens the edge for cutting.<\/p>\n<p>The fittings are designed to look like aged iron. The tsuba is made of iron with a copper-inlaid dragonfly that really stands out.<\/p>\n<p>The handle is wrapped in dark brown silk ito over black rayskin, using the traditional hineri-maki style for grip.
