It&#8217;s made of quality 1060 high carbon steel, properly heat-treated and oil-quenched for strength. The blade, given special treatment, boasts a strong black color and rust protection. <\/p>\n<p>The full-tang blade has undergone traditional hazuya stone polishing, exhibiting a bright mirror shine and sharp edge. The wooden handle, wrapped with a tight silk hineri-maki (cord wrap style) over beautiful red rayskin, enables a tight grip. The scabbard, made of hardwood, has an added gloss effect to enhance appeal.
