Sengo Muramasa was a renowned Japanese swordsmith who forged some of the finest blades in Japan’s history. Despite his swords being favored by the Tokugawa shogunate, his blades were thought to be”cursed” as wielders were befallen with unfortunate incidents. However, one must note that this is due to most of Tokugawa’s samurai using his swords. <\/p>\n
Shadow Dancer’s Muramasa Replica has a shinogi zukuri (curved with yokote and shinogi close to the mune) blade forged from crucible steel, ensuring its durability, strength, and excellent edge retention. The differentially heat treated blade reveals a stunning suguha (relatively straight) hamon that is made even more visible through traditional Sashikomi polish. <\/p>\n
